Gone Buggy: Butterfly Cookies (Tutorial)
To make Butterfly Cookies you will need:
- Butterfly Cookie
- Your Choice Color 10-second Glaze
- Black 10-second Glaze
- Pearl Luster Dust or Americolor Bright White
- Almond Extract
- Paintbrush
Outline & Flood the body of the butterfly with black glaze.
Outline the butterfly wings.
Allow cookie to dry for at least an hour
so the black does not bleed into the wing color.
Or....keep body icing separate from wings.
Flood wings.
Add wet on wet or layering designs as desired.
Allow cookie to dry overnight.
Mix a drop of almond extract with either
Paint onto butterfly wings.
Yeah! Pretty Butterflies (and easy too!)....
Sadly this photo does not do justice
to the awesome finish of the butterfly wings.
I love how the gel/dust makes it look more
translucent like real butterfly wings. :)

Baby Emma Nursery Cookie Collection
To celebrate Emma's arrival,
I wanted to make some extra special cookies
to go with her nursery decor.
The nursery is done in the
NoJo Collection called "Emily'.
What a pretty color scheme and fun shapes
to try to emulate. :)
I added some extra colors and shapes to
make it more personalized for Emma.
That's it for Baby Emma cookies.

I've been super busy this week with two fun themes
(one was a HUGE challenge)
so you will be seeing those soon.
I've also got a couple tutorials
and a CookieCrazie Basics post coming too.
Happy Weekend!
Ukraine..............Two Days!
Only two days until I leave for Ukraine. I still can't believe it is almost here. I'm so excited!
I made lots of small cookies to give to the Ukrainians. We'll have our first women's retreat next Monday through Wednesday.....and are expecting 50 + women there. And then we'll try to visit at least 50 homes of the seniors the rest of the time we are there. I have about 130 cookies.....so I think I'm covered. :)
I'm always trying to figure out what are the best shapes to do for UA. Some things we have in the States they wouldn't relate to at all. So I chose flowers, butterflies, ladybugs, and tea pots.
I'm hoping for one last post tomorrow before I leave on Thursday morning. I want to show you the fun cookies I made for my ministry team members.
Thanks for all your prayers, notes, and support! I really appreciate all of you so much. :)
