Personal Side

The wedding was wonderful!
It was so nice to have the whole family home.....and enjoy the union of Joe & Jill.

The weekend went by in a flash......and suddenly everyone went back to their homes.....
and I was back in the house alone.
It's such a stark contrast.

But......I had already baked up some cookies and got crackin' early Monday morning.
I did a fun glamor set this week......in navy and fuschia.....same colors as Jill's wedding.
I tried so many techniques, textures, and methods that it had my head spinning at times.
But then.....I never do anything easy. haha
The collection is now complete and I'm very happy with it.

Next week I'll decorate some more fall cookies.
There are so many designs and shapes I want to try.....it's hard to get them all in.

♥♥♥

Instagram photos for this week:

These are part of Jill & Joe's boxed wedding set I'll give them tomorrow.
(See what I did there? 😉)
We are CRAZIE excited about the weekend of memories we are about to make.

Today is it......Happy Wedding Day to Joe & Jill!

And now begins the happily ever after.....

Colorful, crisp, and crunchy....
Don't you just love this time of year?

Fall is in the air......remembering with a set from last year.

2014 Apple Cookies Collection

Sometimes it's easy to get a little CRAZIE when making a theme of cookies.
This apple cookie collection was no exception. ;)

There are so many things you can do with apples.
Ready, set, go!

These Helvetica lowercase alphabet cutters are super popular right now.
(They will fit in to any theme!)

Apple Cookies (Tutorial)

Now there's a classic shape........an apple.
An apple cookie can be used in many different themes.
And it's quite simple to decorate.

If you don't already possess an apple cutter,
here is a new CookieCrazie custom apple cookie cutter available at the Creative Cookier.

Or if you'd rather use a common cutter,  try cutting off the bottom tip of a heart cookie.
Or use the common diamond ring cutter.

Outline and flood the apple in red or green 10-second glaze.

After about 90 min dry time, press into the top part of the apple to give it an indention for the stem.
Add the stem with a 1.5 PME tip using tan glaze.

If there is available room, add a green leaf to the side of the stem.

Give the leaves about 1 hour dry time before indenting them with some veins using a scribe.

Use your imagination to add in all kinds of different apple sizes and designs
to spice up the platter of apple cookies.
