Lacy Heart Cookies (Tutorial)

Pretty lace.......it's exquisite.
My attempts at lace in the past have been pretty lame.
There's some awesome decorators out there who pipe tiny dots all over a cookie
and produce an AMAZING effect.
That's just not me.
Glaze has some limitations......and....I guess *I* do too. :)

But this attempt at least produced an effect I'm happy with.

Outline and flood a scalloped border around a heart cookie in white glaze.

After the border has dried for about one hour (time may vary),
use a long thin tool like a cake tester to make lines within the scalloped edges.

I have two cake testers......a thin one for the lines, indents, and tiny holes.....
and a thick one for larger holes around the edges.

Next outline and flood another scalloped border with the first one.

After it has dried for about hone hour, add holes and other details with the cake testers.

Outline and flood a straight heart shape around the base of the second scalloped border.
(see photo below)
This can be done in whatever glaze color desired.

They are fairly simple with a stunning effect. :)
