Summer Fun Cookie Collection

Summer Fun: Sunshine Cookies (Tutorial)





Sunshine cookies can be made with a variety of flower cutters or even just a plain circle.

To make a precise circle shape for your sun face, 
trace around a circle cutter with a food color marker.

Outline the circle and then make your "shine lines".
Or....when you're using the sunflower cutter, outline and flood the entire outer portion of cookie.
After at least 30 minutes of dry time, flood the face part of the sun. 

Allow it to dry for a few hours.

Onto the face of the sun,
pipe large white circles for the eyes and immediately drop a black sugar pearl into it.


If desired, add eyebrows and a mouth with a black food color marker.
