I made a few cookie boxes last week to display some of my Valentine cookies and they turned out really cute. And the best part was that since they were not made for anyone in particular.....I was allowed to share them with good friends as a surprise gift. Loved that part! :)
Last year, after I had done my Mothers Day and Father Day cookie boxes (10x7x2").....I went on a search for boxes that were not so deep.....since 2" were so hard to fill. I also wanted something that didn't so much room in storage. Those boxes mentioned above came in a HUGE box, and I still have about 1/3 of them left.
I found these awesome clear boxes from Clearbags.com. They send them flat and are easily "assembled" by folding up the sides.
I ordered two sizes......9 1/16 x 6 1/8 x 1" clear box and 7 3/8 x 5 3/8 x 1" clear box. Even though they are little hard to "load" since you have to put everything through the side.....I love the look that they bring. You get to see all the pretty crinkle shred.....plus the cookies are displayed with flair.

So we are in the midst of a crazy winter storm. We are right on the "line" between snow and sleet. It's been sleeting for hours.....but every once in a while.....it will snow for a few minutes. We have blizzard warning.....ummm.....need I remind you that I live near St. Louis, Missouri. The only blizzards we have here are at Dairy Queen. ;) So this is mighty historic for us. Even my husband's employer, Boeing, is closed today. Wow. We might get a foot of snow.....but if it keeps sleeting....we'll get much less snow.
Here's a pic out my front window........lots of sleet. (The piles you see are of snow from the last storm.)
We'll be hiding out here for the next day or two. Everyone's home....so it is like a big party. I'm not sure I'm going to get any cookies done with everyone under foot......but I foresee lots of Wii playing and movie watching. :) Memories.................
