Continuing to prepare to decorate a Christmas tree cookie platter.......
stringed lights are needed. :)
So make some light bulb cookies using a mini bulb cutter.
I used one like this one.
Before baking, push a hole through the top of the bulb (see photo below).
Make sure the hole goes all the way through the back of the cookie.
Once baked, outline and flood the bulbs in your choice of color of 10-second glaze.
Be sure to outline a circle around the hole to allow the string to go through.
After drying overnight, paint on a sheen to the bulb portion to give a light source look (if desired).
I used airbrush blue sheen color with mine.
On the top rim, paint on some super gold pearl dust mixed with almond extract (see photo below).
If desired, use a black food color marker to add some lines on the gold rimmed top.
Use string, twine, or wired ribbon to string your light bulb cookies together.
The lights are ready for the tree trimming!
