For Graduation Tassel Cookies you will need:
- Tassel Shaped Cookies (see below)
- Tassel Colored 10 Second Icing
- Gold 10 Second Icing
- Paintbrush
- Gold Luster Dust
- Almond Extract
To make a tassel cookie....I used a toothbrush cutter
and a small rectangle cutter. (Crazie....I know.)
Construction photo below. :)
On #5.....you have to smoosh it some
to get it to look more like a tassel.
Outline and flood the "cord" parts of the tassel.
Leave the rectangle for the year bling.
And a leave a space at the top for the
gold cord fastener.
Start adding cords to the tassel portion.
I think I made at least 3 layers of them.
Remember that glaze doesn't allow overlapping
(it will run together)
so keep your lines separated with each layer.
Once the cord glaze has dried for a least an hour,
add your cord fastener in gold,
and outline and flood the year bling.
Once the year bling has dried for about 30 minutes,
you can pipe the year on top.
You can also add lines across the fastener
and a gold chain from the fastener to the bling.
Allow the tassels to dry overnight.
Mix a drop of almond extract with some gold luster dust.
Paint over the bling, fastener, and chain.
Super fun!
