Giving Thanks……it is appropriate ANY time of the year. In fact, when I made these cookies in July, I was working to keep the “giving thanks” theme in front of me as I anticipated a series of radiation on my bone metastasis of the spine and sacrum. If we don’t look at all there is to be thankful for, we dwell on the negative.

As we enter this special season of harvest and thanksgiving……may we truly take time to be grateful and give thanks.

Harvest Blessings Decorated Cookie Collection

Harvest time produces blessings…..so many things to be thankful for.
It’s a perfect segway into Thanksgiving.

When I reflect on blessings right now, it’s hard, yet easy. I DO have so many blessings…..and I’m working to not allow the negative things to get in the way of being thankful. When you sit still and look over your life, you realize that God allows us to continually reap a harvest of incredible things HE has done.

I’m blessed. I’m thankful. And grateful to express it all here.

Pumpkin Spice Decorated Cookie Collection

Pumpkin Spice is a favorite among many during the autumn months. I’m a fan…..albeit not as crazy as some. But I love chai tea lattes……so it makes sense that I’d love this spice combination.

The whole spices were made out of edible clay (recipe on this site) after staring at many many photos upon googling them. haha It was challenging….but loads of fun.

Autumn JOY Decorated Cookie Collection

Oh autumn……you are so beautiful!
I love this season.
It brings me such joy…..thus I’ve created a set of cookies to express that autumn joy.

As I sit here on this 90 degree summer day and anticipate this upcoming fall season, I wonder what things will be like in just a few months when the weather turns cooler and the leaves begin to change colors. I’ve always done my cookie sets ahead so that I could have content for my site lined up in advance. It’s kind of ironic now…..because in many ways, there’s no need to “have content for my site lined up in advance”. I don’t do any of this to raise money anymore…..it is all purely out the love of creating. It’s what keeps me going everyday. It’s not really for anyone else, as much as it is for me. And right now…..it’s extremely helpful to think about something so lovely as AUTUMN. :)

May this cookie set bring someone else as much cheer as it did me as I created it.

Thank you God for bringing joy when there seems to be none. You have done great things!

Prayer….It’s so essential in our lives. It’s our connection to God.

We are currently within the isolation period of the Covid-19 pandemic.
I’ve noticed that when crisis hits, we all pray more.
It’s a time when we realize how little control we really have over our own lives.

My prayer is that we draw closer to God and one another and learn lots of wonderful things during this time of trial. God has certainly taught me how He gets my attention during difficult times and teaches me so much…..if I’m willing.
