Continuing on the winter woodland theme.......let's make some birch tree cookie.
Outline and flood the tree trunks and branches in white.
For the circular cross-section trunk (upper right in photo below),
leave a space around the outer rim to create the trunk texture later after the center is complete.
For the vertical log, flood the top cut section first (log on left below),
and then outline and flood the length of the log.
For the circular cross section, allow the center to dry for at least 15 min.
Then add a random bark outer edge with white glaze.
Add bark texture by following the tutorial for the apple tree cookie platter.
Allow the textured cookies to dry overnight.
Instead of using brown and gold gel for the bark like in the apple tree,
use black or silver to paint on some "character lines" on the bark.
And then use the brown and gold gels for the cross section centers of the log as seen below.
