Autumn Leaf Rake Cookie (Tutorial)

This lone rake cookie looks a little forlorn all by itself.
but it really enhances the autumn leaf cookie platter shown below.

There is no rake cookie cutter available......
probably because the handle would be a breakable appendage.
So I used a trimmed oval with a squared off end.

Using brown 10-second glaze, outline and flood the handle first.

Wait about 10 minutes in between each of the following steps.

Next, add the base of the rake head.

Then add the first layer of tines.

Complete the rake with a final set of tines in between the initial ones.

Allow the rake cookie to dry overnight.
Paint on a bit of wood grain to the handle with a darker brown color.
(I used Warm Brown airbrush color, but you could also use Americolor Chocolate Brown gel.)
Continue painting brown on the handle base and the very ends of the rake tines.
