Coneflower Cookies (Tutorial) 2015
Just like daffodils, I have an obsession with coneflower cookies......
and have tried multiple times to get a 3D version I was satisfied with.
With this new CookieCrazie custom coneflower cutter, dreams have come true. :)
An added bonus......this weaver bee cutter has a slightly different shape emulating a coneflower.
Outline and flood the protruding "cone" at the top of the flower with tan glaze.

Outline and flood the protruding "cone" at the top of the flower with tan glaze.
Allow the cone to dry for at least a couple of hours,
and then using matching-colored
edible clay with a
grass tip,
pipe the pollen bumps into the partially-dried tan glaze as shown below.
Outline and flood the purple-pink petals on the bottom of the flower.
(see photo below)
After about 1 hour of dry time, outline and flood every-other petal for dimension.
Dry overnight.
Lightly brush on
bronze pearl dust all over the nooks and crannies of the coneflower cookie
to give it a more realistic look.
