My First Cookies in the New Kitchen!

I've only been in the new house for five weeks and already have my kitchen "broken in" decorating sugar cookies.

Crazy as I am, I agreed to make cookies for a Vacation Bible School we did on a mission trip in Cleveland, Ohio last week. We expected as many as one hundred children, so I went all out and made my largest batch of cookies yet......130! Boy was that crazy! What was I thinking???
I got the cookies baked and realized I'd bitten off more than I could chew (no pun intended) when I went to decorate them, so I called my baking friend (another Pam) and she came over and helped me. With Pam and my hubbie's help, I was able to decorate all of them in time to let them dry before I transported them to Cleveland.

The VBS had an island theme, so I made palm trees, suns, watermelons, ice cream cones, lady bugs, beach balls, and flip flops. (Again......what was I thinking???!!!!)
They turned out cute and as you can imagine, the kids enjoyed them very much. I believe God was honored and glorified even with some silly little cookies. :-)
Look at this cool pic of the cooling cookies on the breakfast bar, my new Kitchen Aid mixer out on the counter, and cookies baking in the oven. :-)
Here's all the cookies drying on the breakfast bar:
Beach balls and suns....

Lady bugs and watermelons....

Ice cream cones....

Flip flops.....

And one of each kind. :-)
